Week of 6/3

We have a busy, yet fun week planned! Thursday is our big trip to the zoo! We also have some end-of-quarter assessments this week, so please be sure your child is well-rested. =) Friday is the last day for AR, so this is the last big push to be a Goal Buster! 

Here's what's happening this week in our class:
Language Arts:

This week's story: Leon and Bob
Strategy: Drawing Conclusions
Skill: Compare/Contrast
Phonics: oi, oy and multi-syllabic words
Writing: 9 weeks writing test

Math:
We'll continue with word problems and basic facts, but will also take the fourth quarter math assessment this week.

Science/Social Studies:
The children will continue to build upon their knowledge of animals in class, as well as on the field trip on Thursday.

Important notes/reminders:

*Library books were due back Friday, 5/31, and AR ends on June 7th!!
