Mock Election

CAES held a mock election today, which the students just LOVED. It tied in well with our Communities unit in Social Studies, where we have talked about what voting is, why it's important, and how it unites us as Americans. 

After lunch, each student got to go to a private polling station to cast his/her ballot for either Mitt Romney or Barack Obama. Later in the day, after each vote was tallied, we learned that Barack Obama won by just 27 votes! We talked about how EVERY vote counts, and how important it is for everyone to vote. So be sure to get to the polls Tuesday! :)
